The Artist: hisartwork
The 190th token minted on SuperRare on July 16th, 2018 is titled ‘Birth of Ethereum’ by hisartwork. Sold a month later for 0.2 eth, hisartwork attempted to buy it back unsuccessfully in May 2021 for 1 eth. Fortunately, hisartwork does not adhere to the scarcity school of 2021 and has minted another 2,177 artworks since on SuperRare. When not in crypto, hisartwork advances a decade long career in digital design following graduation from the University of Florida Fine Arts.

The Collection: Unconscious Collage
For weeks the SuperRare bot went brr with sales notifications on ‘Unconscious Collage’, processing 2000 sales for 0.01 eth each. hisartwork believes in art for the people to remix and reuse so the collection was released to the general public under CC0.

A Specific Artwork: Tantrums
The Homburg hat often associated with politicians and businessmen, flickers like an animated Cubist painting. The centred SLR lens hints that the work may be a self portrait of hisartwork. ‘Tantrums’ was also chosen to headline his collection on The Line, a further potential indicator.
