The Artist: Photogurapher

If history is written by the victors, history is rewritten by the AI prompters. The genre of ‘Post-photography’ rankles those who carry their lens with them and yet our eyes do not differentiate between the world of photography and post-photography. So it may come to pass that our ability to see the difference between truth and fiction through digital imagery also fades. Photogurapher stirs us up by asking the question.

"Although there are no ifs in history, If parallel universes actually exist, then the history of the universe we live in would be unfolding differently in other parallel universes. It is possible that events we believe to be true in our universe could be unfolding differently in other parallel universes, leading to different outcomes. However, we can imagine the existence of these unseen parallel universes. This concept allows us to explore the possibility of different realities and helps us to better understand the mysteries of the universe."

The Collection: SuperRare 1/1s

Through the prompts of Photogurapher we are going to find out how broad a range an artist may have at reinventing a photographed past with AI. Scenes from the East, serpents and snakes, tattoos, sea-bound mermaids and wing tipped angels are part of genetic story being prompted out here.

A Specific Artwork: Parallel Universe #8

The hints of reality are there to see through what the large language model is inferring. A reflection of one’s self or a mirror twin encased in glass as if on display. The tell tale signs of AI hands are less obvious through the refraction, so the unbridled ink over the face becomes the primary giveaway. The scene evokes a feeling of pressure or unmet desire that answers the layman’s call that AI art cannot transmit the feels. Yet here we are and it is still so early in to the post photography era.
