The Artist: mae
Mae’s work explores a minimal and romantic approach to landscape art with a touch of surrealism. Joining the cryptoart movement in 2021, mae has brought the timeline peace and tranquility. The destinations may be a work of fiction, but the colorwork is derived from photographs she has taken throughout her life. There is a familiarity to the landscapes, as if we are remembering a time when our forefathers arrived at the frontier for the first time and experienced its immense beauty.

This project comprises a series of digital postcards, each featuring distinctive artwork that reflects the artist’s personal experiences and artistic journey. Postcards made it possible for anyone to collect mae’s work with 1,833 editions sold. Her signature objects are presented with clarity across the collection; manicured hedges, undulating lined hills, crisp leaves, reflective depths and the bright ethereal beauty of a new day.
A Specific Artwork: "Seussian #46"
The Seussian collection elevates the undulating hills into ribbons of fantasy. The layers of history bedded down over time leaving only the land and its watery surroundings. The sense of escapism mae’s work provides the viewer, gives a visual evocation of the immense peace that comes with free flowing life.
