Tokenised Art for the People
The first art show at The Line is now open to the public. Launched by owner and founder of The Line, the artist known as MintFace. The music booms from the pavement, nudging those who would otherwise never step inside an art space… to feel the magnetic pull inside.
The digital tokens and blockchain provenance takes a backstage to the presentation of 25 paintings in the Two Burdens collection by MintFace. The art invites the viewer to come to their own conclusions as to what they are seeing, and the art title may be the unlock… or continue to hold the viewer at some distance. Either way, your preconceptions will be tested and expanded.
Geodetic Cultural Object
In the centre of The Line is a tall cultural object with 2021 blockchain provenance, built to scale in real life (IRL). The title of the work is ‘Geodetica’ and is a beacon representative of an almost 10 year long journey of pulsing a signal of location for the disappeared to pick up on. In the meantime, visitors are invited to leave their mark on the Geodetic… reflecting a patina of who has bared witness to its beacon.
